We have developed and use a variety of wig cap construction types. Each type and style is purpose-built for a particular style of wig in our extensive collection. We are going to go through each cap design in details and also show you what wigs they are used in.

Smartlace Lite – Our Very Latest Wig Cap Design

SmartLace™ Lite is our newest collection of light hair density wigs with ear-to-ear lace front and an ultra-lightweight cap design. It was designed for the wig wearer looking for the ultimate flexibility and wig comfort.

What Makes Smartlace Lite Wigs Different?

 

Each SmartLace™ Lite wig also features a non-slip silicone nape area that fits snug against the back of the head to prevent any shifting. Plus, polyurethane-coated ear tabs are perfect for use with adhesive for those wanting extra security and the most flexibility. We designed it to feel completely secure on your head, even while running errands or during a workout!

Smartlace Front: Mimics are natural hairline. Hair is hand-tied one by one.

Single Monofilament: This allows for multi-directional parting while providing the appearance of natural hair growth.

100% Hand-Tied Cap: Each hair is individually hand-tied, creating the appearance of real hair growth.

100% Hand Tied Stretch Section: Allows customised stretch from front to back and ear to ear for extra comfort.

PE Ear Tabs: Designed with a bendable wire, designed for adhesive use.

Silicone Nape: With a bendable wire. Allows for a non-slip grip.

Adjustable Tabs: This allows the user to adjust to cap circumference.

WIG CAP BASE MATERIALS CONSTRUCTION GLOSSARY

Wig construction styles across our range are unique and different from each other.  Here is the wording that will help you understand the different materials we use.

WEFT (WEFTED) Sewn in to create weft Allows for faster production. (less labour cost) provides more density and durability.
SINGLE MONOFILAMENT Hand tied (ventilated) Allows multi-directional parting; natural looking growth at part.
DOUBLE MONOFILAMENT Hand-tied (ventilated) Allows multi-directional parting; natural looking growth at part with glass-silk underneath to give a natural scalp appearance.
FRENCH DRAWN TOP Hand-tied (ventilated) Allows multi-directional parting. Natural-looking growth at the part. Knots are hidden in between two layers of glass-silk to give a natural scalp appearance.
100% HAND TIED CAP Hand-tied (ventilated) Mimics your natural hair movement and features a natural hair density.
POLYURETHANE Injected, v-looped, hand-tied Allows the wig base cap construction to be bonded. Usually clear or flesh-toned. Also used to coat the edges of monofilament toppers for durability (PU coated)
SILICONE Injected, V-looped, Hand Tied. (ventilated onto the material & coated. Allows base to grip against bare skin when no biological hair is present.
